Gold Leaves in your Tea

There is a store called Hakuza in Nihonbashi that sells a variety of gold leaf products.  It’s located on the first floor of the Coredo Muromachi Building.

Inside the store, there is a tea lounge where you can rest and relax.  For 945 yen, I received a glass of iced tea made from tea leaves grown in Kaga. The tea was served in a beautiful glass made of gold, filled with ice cubes and garnished with sprinkles of real gold leaves on top.  It comes with seasonable wagashi.  There are five selections.  The wagashi is from the traditional wagashi store called Sannkaido in the Ishikawa prefecture.  It has a gold leaf on top.

I wonder if my skin will shine like gold after I drink this tea with gold and eat this wagashi with gold? While you are waiting for your tea to be served, you get free plum wine bonbons.
