Edo Tokyo Museum

The city of Tokyo used to be called Edo since 1590 until the Meiji Era started.  You can learn about the culture and history of the Edo period at the Edo Tokyo Museum.  From Tokyo today to Tokyo many hundreds of years ago, you swipe to the past.  Today, the descendants of our forefathers dwell at the same place but in a different way.

The museum is situated next to the sumo wrestling stadium and the name of the station is Ryogoku.  Ryogoku is on the JR Sobu line and Oedo Toei Subway line.

The admission is 600 yen for an adult and the additional fee to enter any special art exhibitions.  For the new year’s celebration you can enter for free.
