Enjoy the Beauty of Leaves in the Fall

In the Fall, leaves turn to red, yellow and brown throughout Japan.  This time of the year is when we enjoy certain food, nature and fashion before winter comes.

This year I visited a Buddhist temple called Heirinji, it was built in 1375 in the Saitama prefecture. It is a one hour train ride away from central Tokyo with my photographer group.

There are different routes to get there if you take a train.  The name of the JR station is Niiza.

The admission is 500 yen for Adult.  There are no restaurants or cafes on the premises.  Across the street from the temple is a garden.  At this time of the year, local high school students demonstrate a tea ceremony and serve matcha tea to visitors for 300 yen.

Absolutely lovely photos! This post made me really smile with happiness to see the colors (those reds are brilliant!) and the simple moments so vividly caught. We didn’t have much of an autumn this year and this post makes up for it. Thank you for sharing the moment. 🙂

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed my pictures. The autum here is colorful and short. I like red color maples so I took many pictures!
