Vegetable Cooking Class

I attended another cooking class at the Love Story Kitchen studio in Shinjuku.  This time I joined the vegetarian cooking class.  It is not a “real vegetarian” vegetable class, they also serve one meat dish.  However, most of the dishes were made with organic fruit and vegetables. The instructor, Macki, is a distributor of organic fruit and vegetables.  He not only grow vegetables himself but also sources high quality, organic vegetables from producers all over Japan and distributes them to high end restaurants in Tokyo.  We are lucky to learn how to cook fancy vegetarian dishes as well as eating them.  They added fruit which tasted really yummy.  Each dish was beautifully presented like a piece of art.  The tofu desert was decorated with flowers and nuts… I got so addicted to it!  At the end of the class, students were able to purchase the fruit and vegetables at a good price.  They were sold out in seconds!  This is a monthly event.  I have decided to register to this one every month moving forward. The cost of 7000 yen includes a recipe, cooking demonstration, dinner, white wine, red wine, beer, home made plum wine, carrot and apple smoothies and a networking opportunity with other vegetable foodies. It was a fun evening.
