The Collaboration between the Vegetable Dinner Event and Pottery Artist

Last Friday, I attended a special collaboration dinner event to enjoy vegetarian food served on the plates made by the artist, Kondo, from Gifu prefecture.  Here is his website: Hanzawagama. Kondo uses only local earth for the clay and uses local weeds as fuels to bake his pieces naturally in the handmade oven made by the blicks.  He was in town because of an exhibition he was doing at Isetan Fuchu store.  After enjoying yummy food made of organic vegetables, fruits and herbs, he was selling his plates at a discounted price for us.  I bought three small plates and cups for 10,000 yen.

The event was held at Love Story Kitchen Studio as always and the cost was 7,000 yen including a yummy fruit desert and herbal tea.

First you select your plate.

Then you get to decorate your own plate with vegetarian appetisers with herbs and flowers.

Sauteed spring onions were very tender and tasted sweet.

I loved the natural fruits, granola bar dessert and herbal tea.

After dinner I bought some small pieces.

The plates I got matched the teapot I already had at home.  They were perfect additions to my tea set.
