The Nezu Museum

The Nezu museum first opened in 1941 by Mr. Nezu Kaichiro, who was one of the industrialists back then.  The museum is situated in Minami-Aoyama near Omotesando. This place is known as a big collector of Japanese and East Asian arts (with more than 7400 pieces).  The Japanese garden next to it is very peaceful and beautiful. It has a Koi pond and various flowers.  There is a wooden tea house in the middle. The cafe in the garden serves nice matcha tea and wagashi.  It’s hard to believe your in the middle of Central Tokyo with it’s beautiful nature and tranquility.
