Eat Flan the Tokyo Way

Lately, I have been taking voice lessons on a weekly basis in Shibuya.  On my way to class, I discovered a hidden gem. If you walk up this hill, you will find a coffee shop that serves the most delicious, fresh coffee.  They are known as having a famous dessert patissier.  The name of this place is called Coffee Sakan Shu or Gateaux Naturels Shu.  After my class, I decided to stop by the coffee shop to rest.  The coffee was great and the flan was so delicious.  The lounge area was air conditioned and it was the perfect place for me to read my book and gather some energy before heading home.  In Tokyo, custard pudding is called “pudding a la mode”.   It is served with fruit, whipped cream, ice cream and cake.
